The Farrar Home has been setting adult home standards since 1900.  this is largely due to a hard working and dedicated staff.  There has been many changes over this time in all aspects of the business.  New regulations that require a more experienced staff is not  the least of these changes.  We have always been fortunate enough to be able to rise to the occasion.  Our staff has been exemplary and worked as necessary to comply with New York State Department of Health regulations, along with providing outstanding service to our residents.

The Farrar Home is made up of approximately 25 full-time and part-time employees.

The Administrator is Carol M. McKee, RN, who has been with the Farrar Home since 1986.  Carol has enjoyed the challenges and the job satisfaction that has come with running the facility.  Helping the elderly find the proper setting that affords them the comfort, care and security that they deserve is what is important to her.  "I feel fortunate to be able to spend my days working with such a special group of people.  The residents and staff are like my second family."

The Assistant Administrator is Shirley-Ann Bingel, RN, who has been with the Farrar Home for the past 4 years.  She was previously a nurse manager at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, New York.  She retired after 20 years of service.  Her extensive medical background along with supervisory skills have allowed her to successfully oversee the residents and staff.

The Administrative Assistant is Karen Paquin.  She has had over 10 years of experience in all area of the Farrar Home.  She also spent 5 years as an adult home administrator in North Carolina.  This working background, her enthusiasm and her attention to detail have given her the ability to work well in this position.
