 The Staff

The Farrar Home has been setting adult home standards since 1900.  This is largely due to a hard working and dedicated staff.  There has been many changes over this time in all aspects of the business.  New regulations that require a more experienced staff is not  the least of these changes.  We have always been fortunate enough to be able to rise to the occasion.  Our staff has been exemplary and worked as necessary to comply with New York State Department of Health regulations, along with providing outstanding service to our residents.

The Farrar Home is made up of approximately 25 full-time and part-time employees.

The Administrator is Carol M. McKee, RN, who has been with the Farrar Home since 1986.  Carol has enjoyed the challenges and the job satisfaction that has come with running the facility.  Helping the elderly find the proper setting that affords them the comfort, care and security that they deserve is what is important to her.  "I feel fortunate to be able to spend my days working with such a special group of people.  The residents and staff are like my second family."

The Assistant Administrator is Kristie Sherry-Keating, RN.  Kristie joined the Farrar Home staff in 2008.  Her love for geriatrics and expert management skills make her perfect for the job.  Kristie has worked for Hospice of the North Country for the past few years and remains affiliated with that organization.  Hospice work has given Kristie even further incite to the needs of the elderly.  Kristie enjoys caring for the residents and overseeing their needs.

The Administrative Assistant is Karen Paquin.  She has had over 15 years of experience in all area of the Farrar Home.  She also spent 5 years as an adult home administrator in North Carolina.  This working background, her enthusiasm and her attention to detail have given her the ability to work well in this position.
